You’ll Never Guess What I’m Giving Up
So after hearing how spiritual guru Deepak Chopra encourages his family to avoid The Three C’s, I thought I would give it a try. (No, don’t worry, I’m not talking about coffee, carbs and chocolate… ha, no way I would even think about such nonsense!) I am going to challenge myself to go one full day without complaining, condemning or criticizing either myself or others.
Think about this for a moment. No bitching about the weather. No judging your spouse for buying you a blender for your anniversary instead of something romantic. No finding fault with the delivery guy for getting lost and being a half hour late with your pizza. No mentioning your backache or how expensive gas is or your disapproval of the current affairs in Darfur. No putting yourself down about what dress size you wear. Wow, talk about an exercise in the concept of staying positive. Do you think you could refrain from negativity for a whole day?
You’ve done it before and you can do it now. See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination.
Curious if I will be able to rise to the challenge? Stay tuned. I’ll report back soon.

It does sound hard but it gets easy and pretty soon you will see how much more your love yourself and life :). Even just being able to flip a negative into a positive becomes a way of life.
