Mantra for the Year

In the Garden of My Life

While some people avoid resolutions like the plague, I like the motivation to stop for a moment to take stock of my life at the start of the new year, gain perspective and give myself an intention to focus on and strive towards. Nothing overly ambitious or unattainable, but rather small yet powerful steps I can take to be a better me.

And so, building upon my thoughts from yesterday and pondering over which theme or mantra that I would like to adopt as the new year unfolds, I keep thinking of this quote:

Every thought is a seed planted in the field of the mind. As we sow, so shall we reap. As we think, so we become.author unknown

I have been witness to such amazing things happening when I am in the right state of mind. Good things happen when I am thinking good thoughts. It can be difficult sometimes (some days just seem to be made for sulking), but I think it is becoming easier with practice. There are some changes I would like to make in my life, and I think the best approach for me is to truly believe in the good and potential of those changes. Paired with action, there is no limit to the potential of positive thinking.

oops, better late than never

P.S. I still don’t feel like this one is finished… I just think it needs something else, perhaps some words.
