Inspire Me Thursday: Image Transfers
The challenge this week at Inspire Me Thursday is image transfers. In the mixed media postcard shown above, I used a sticky tape transfer, and in the postcard below I used an inkjet transparency transfer. I have several more in the works, I am addicted to making these!

You certainly have a knack for this type of thing. Both image transfers look great; a nice vintage, rustic appeal. Cheers!

Yes, they are both very nice! I would be interested to know specifically what brand or kind of transfer film you used, because I really had a heck of a time with that for some reason.

Beautiful Melanie!
I would love to see you do more work like this. You have a great sense of design and you don’t clutter up your collage work.

Your transfers are beautiful! I’ve read a whole book about transfering images - but I can’t get in the icky mood to try it out for real. It all looks to difficult.

Now it is Friday and I didn’t get to this challenge, but I liked all the techniques you shared and I hope to use them someday.
Your images are lovely.
And thanks for the links to art journaling. It took me a while, but eventually I checked them out.

Beautiful, Melanie! I like the weathered look you achieved in the second one. Now I’m inspired to try my hand at a fabric postcard :-)

These are beautiful, Melanie. Your work always has this soft beauty to it.
I love sticky tape transfers. They’re so fun and easy and not messy! I’ve had trouble with transparency transfers- I like them, but the colors are always way off. Must be my printer.
These are great and I love your Inspire Me thursday entries…I may have to join in the fun!
