Motivated by a recent challenge at Inspire Me Thursday, my mom took on the task to create her first self-portrait. The result is this fabulous art quilt! The details are exquisite, and, as usual, I am in awe at what can be achieved with fabric.

Wow — totally gorgeous! What a cool quilt. Quilting Arts magazine actually had a self-portrait challenge recently, and your mom’s quilt reminded me of some of the entries published there. Hers would have made a great addition. Thanks for sharing this … makes me want to learn quilting.
