Love this, Melanie…and I love most of all that you included “I love who I am.” That for me is the big distinction between the present me and my younger self…I’m still all those “bad” things…it’s just that these days I accept those parts.

It’s all of those “dark” parts that make you real and endearing–they allow us to see ourselves in you; they forge a connection.
And it’s the way you rise above those “quirks” by being compassionate to yourself that makes you inspiring and admirable.

Very nice, very real and very true. “I love who I am”… wonderful words, I find this is sort of a “private” piece, very revealing.
