Studio Friday { playtime + invented tools }
This week at Studio Friday, it’s Playtime! Tine suggested creating free signs, which is quite simply freely painting random strokes on a large piece of paper with an old, discarded object. I used a pipe cleaner leftover from one of the kids’ craft projects. A quick, easy and relaxing way to make some cool background art!

Catching up from last week…
Here are a few of the invented tools found in my studio and my uses for them: bubblewrap (stamp backgrounds), spice jar lids (stamp with ink or in clay), credit card, the ones that come in junk mail (spread glue or paint, or cut up and drag over wet paint or gesso to add texture), cosmetic wedge (cut and drag over wet ink or paint to add a pattern), cardboard container, the kind used to package produce (ink around edges and stamp a frame or cut up and use to spread glue or paint), empty APS canister (stamp cool oval shapes), and foam pieces (cut out simple designs and stamp).

To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk.
