Like many others, my home is a safe haven. I’m comfortable here. I know what to expect. But sometimes it’s too easy to stay in that comfort zone instead of stepping out to something new. Sometimes I feel too tied down to my routine of kids and laundry and balancing the checkbook. Once in awhile it’s good for me to go outside my usual boundaries. In fact, it’s absolutely refreshing.

A quick journal entry in honor of one of my favorite daily indulgences. To me, a coffee break is like a mini vacation. “A few minutes to myself with a bit of heaven in a cup. Ah, yes, this is my very favorite place to just be.”
