In Another’s Shoes

Occasionally I find myself taking a step back from everyday life to step into another’s shoes. Sometimes looking at things from someone else’s view helps me understand his actions or choices. It may even help turn negative emotions into something more positive, like turning anger into compassion. And then there are times when it’s just fun to imagine a totally different life. What if I had famous parents? What if I was born in Las Vegas or Seattle or Miami? What if I had stayed in school and gotten my degree? What would life be like for me then? It can be the start of a great daydream, but it can also be a great exercise in soul searching, too, as sometimes some of those ‘what if’s can help define one’s goals and dreams.
Between the chaos of the holidays and my family’s bout with the flu, I have had very little time to be creative lately! So when I found myself with a bit of energy and some free time today, I made a dash to my studio to try
